Hi! Thanks for coming by.
Learning in public
That’s really the goal of this site. I’ve learned so much over the years from people sharing their thoughts & learnings online – I want to do the same. Not only may it help others, it helps me learn better through writing.
I’m French but live in London, which I’ve called home for 20 years and counting.
I love the “day to day” work of defining, building, and taking to market new software products, which I am lucky to do as a product manager at Improbable. (We are building a cloud platform called SpatialOS to power the next generation of online games.)
I also love learning about and discussing “the future”, in particular the frontier technologies – AI, gene editing, reusable rockets, etc – which will have a profound impact on the future of our species. I try to “follow the questions” rather than specific disciplinary boundaries, which has led me to dip my toes in marketing, psychology, behavioural economics, finance, and history.
Other than that I am very into running, playing tennis and football, kitesurfing, amorously watching anything by Norm MacDonald and Larry David, and sampling cheese & chutney.
Who do you read everything by?
(In other words – who are the authors you follow the most? It’s a great question that I heard on a podcast a few years ago – I forget who asked it… 😳)
Here’s a rough list of who I am reading everything by these days, which should give you an idea of the kinds of topics you’ll find on this blog:
- Rory Sutherland
- Gaspard Koenig
- Albert Wenger
- Nassim Taleb
- Stewart Brand
- Vitalik Buterin
- Balaji Srinivasan
- Ben Thompson
- Bill Bishop
Hope you learn something interesting on here – don’t hesitate to leave a comment with your thoughts or suggestions.
